You mention "the other side" and I didn't notice hot or cold spots with this tiny grill, where do you find cooler spots on that grill?Mike Boydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14279932231094933575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4773370276862539169.post-4822981915296078542014-02-08T06:30:50.476-07:002014-02-08T06:30:50.476-07:00Hi Deb,

Motivations to bake breads and more complex recipes just isn't there while I am by myself.Mike Boydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14279932231094933575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4773370276862539169.post-64830519211125117772014-02-07T23:40:53.149-07:002014-02-07T23:40:53.149-07:00I really think the Magma grills are great....when ...I really think the Magma grills are great....when we spent 5 days on a trip from Florida to Nassau, that is about all we cooked on - mahi-mahi, potatoes, pork loin and asparagus (of course maybe the trick was that we wrapped everything in tin-foil, but then again, that's not "grillin'", that's baking.) Maybe the higher temp setting is a curse and a blessing depending on what you're trying to cook. We have to keep the lid cracked a bit and put the bratwursts on the other side just to keep them from turning to char, but they are really good if you keep an eye on them.Kevin Rayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03318248903496384782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4773370276862539169.post-80520636084221671832014-02-07T21:22:18.969-07:002014-02-07T21:22:18.969-07:00Mike I have a tab on our blog that links to my boa...Mike I have a tab on our blog that links to my boat cooking site. I haven't had a brat in a while......Hey Kevin,

I haven't had a brat in a while...I should do that. I know you are in the same situation I am...by the time you finish working all day on the boat it is hard to get motivated to do much more than reheating frozen stuff.

If you like Thai peanut sauce, this will liven up more bland things like chicken. I cooked up 3 chicken breasts on the grill and sliced them into strips so I would have chicken for a variety of "throw together quickly" type of things.

I just wish the Magma had a bit lower setting...but it beats not having a grill at all.
Mike Boydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14279932231094933575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4773370276862539169.post-12206185356986853392014-02-07T16:14:42.628-07:002014-02-07T16:14:42.628-07:00As fancy as we've ever gotten on our Magma was...As fancy as we've ever gotten on our Magma was some bratwursts cooked until done and throw 'em on a bun with mustard....we should look into boating recipes because our frozen pizzas and turkey sandwiches are going to get old.Kevin Rayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03318248903496384782noreply@blogger.com
