Sponsors

Below are a list of companies or individuals that have very graciously provided discounts or other compensation to our efforts to sail away from the rat race.  These are products that we do (or will) use on a regular basis.  In most cases, these are products that we researched (and if you know me, you know I tend to over-analyze things) and decided we wanted before any sponsorship opportunity arose. So, if you are looking for anything for your boat or cruising lifestyle, please give these companies a look...and let them know you heard about them here.

And now our sponsors...

Mantus is a newer kid in the anchor market and they seem to be quickly making a name for themselves. One of the newer generation of anchors that are becoming so popular for their holding power in a wide variety of situations, Mantus also has a bit more pocketbook friendly price tag, and what cruiser doesn't like that. In addition to anchors, they have a variety of other ground tackle related products. Check out their product line as well as the test videos. I know we'll be sleeping better at night on our Mantus hook.
Sea Bags recycles used sails into high quality products such as totes, bags, wallets, computer cases, and even pet collars. These products are proudly hand made in Portland Maine U.S.A. I've found the quality of their bags to be excellent and their staff is friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a unique gift for a sailing enthusiast or are wondering what to do with your old sails, check them out.

I do want to note that I agonized a bit over even allowing any sort of sponsors as I want you to know how I really feel regarding things I write about. But I also found that I used the sponsorship pages and notes from other blogs in my research of many of the items we have and use, so it made sense to provide a common location on our blog for others to use in a similar manner. So, I will do my best to give you my honest opinion on any of the products provided by our sponsors.

  1. Good seeing you again. Soak up as much altitude as you can before you get back to the boat projects. CB
